Some things are worth preserving. We believe your financial future deserves the same care, patience, and long-term thinking that brought this historic building back to life.
Scroll through the milestones that brought 140 East Ash Street back to life.
Built around 1863, the building soon became part of Mason’s growing commercial district. Beginning in 1867, it housed a succession of businesses — including a general store, furniture store, agricultural implement store, and shoe store — and remained an active part of downtown life through 1993.
The previous owners had been struggling to make tax payments since the early 1990s. By 2009, the county treasury acquired the structure through tax foreclosure and transferred it to the Ingham County Land Bank the following year. With the cost to refurbish estimated at over $1 million, a public auction wasn’t a realistic option — leaving the building boarded up, condemned, and sitting as blight in the heart of downtown Mason.
Oracle Financial Solutions teamed with local and state partners to make this project a reality — over five years of planning and construction, working collaboratively, hard hats and all, to see the restoration through from vision to reality.
After a $2.75M historic renovation, the doors opened again. We moved in — and the building found its purpose once more.
The Lincoln Room is Oracle’s modern-day take on a speakeasy — a distinctive gathering space within our restored downtown home. Featuring a full-service bar, patio, and boardroom, it gives us a memorable setting for meetings, celebrations, and meaningful time with clients, colleagues, and the community.
